The Villa

Villa Tas Evi is a stone house perched on the side of the Kaya Valley about 15 minutes drive from Fethiye in Turkey. It was renovated from two stone ruins that are believed to date from about 1800. It has three double bedrooms, all with en suite WC and bath or shower and is ideal for up to 3 couples or a family. It has its own private swimming pool.

External

The house is perched on the side of a hill, facing slightly west of south, and is the highest building at its end of the valley. It has a wonderful view over almost the entire valley, including the famous deserted village of Kaya Koy in the distance.

It has four terraces. The top terrace extends 6 metres from the front of the house, the first three of which are covered to provide shade. Steps lead down to the swimming pool terrace. The pool, which is private to Tas Evi, is 10m long by 6m wide. To the side is another terrace with a built-in barbecue and stone seats. The fourth terrace is to the side of the house and includes a herb garden, and on the other side of the house is a parking area.

There is a wide variety of garden and pool furniture, and some large umbrellas to provide shade when required.

Downstairs

Downstairs are kitchen, dining room, sitting room, utility room and WC.

The kitchen is 19 square metres and is well equipped with a 5-ring gas hob, an electric oven and microwave/grill and a dishwasher, all made by Bosch. It has a combined refrigerator and freezer and there is another refrigerator in the utility room if required. There is plenty of cupboard space and the table can seat six people comfortably. The layout was designed for people who enjoy cooking by two people who enjoy cooking and is finished in antique oak.

The dining room and sitting room are open plan, seperated by two steps. The dining room is 25 square metres and has French doors leading out onto the upper terrace. The table will seat up to eight people and there is a music system. The sitting room is 35 square metres and has two sofas, two desks, satellite TV, DVD player and a wireless ADSL internet connection. Two doors lead out to the side terrace and to the utility room respectively. The utility room has the second refrigerator and a washing machine, and there is a door through to the WC.

Upstairs

From the dining room there is a staircase which leads to the first and second bedrooms. The first bedroom is 21 square metres and has en suite bathroom and WC and an antique brass bed. The second bedroom is 20 square metres and has en suite shower and WC.

The third bedroom is at the back of the house and is accessed by an external staircase. It is 17 square metres and has en suite shower and WC. All three bedrooms are air-conditioned and have plenty of cupboard space.
